The Singers' Circle - An informal weekly class on Wednesday nights is now going into its 14th year. It's for people who enjoy singing in a group. We sing folk & roots, pop & all sorts of music from home and away with an emphasis on harmonies and having fun. The class meets in Down Arts Centre (7.30 - 9.30pm). There's no audition and it's very friendly. New members very welcome (esp. men!)

The next term starts on 23 January 2019 at 7.30pm, running for 10 weeks. Contact Down Arts Centre to enrol.

Membership of the community choir Voices of Lecale is open to those attending the Singer's Circle classes.

The Thursday Singers

Bespoke Singing Workshops & Singing Nights ...

I love getting invitations to put on singing workshops or evenings for groups and organisations and over the years have worked with a wide variety of clubs, groups and festival organisations - mothers' groups, parish organisations, soroptomists and PROBUS clubs and even guest leader at other singers groups/choirs. Singing is a great way to lift your mood. It bonds people and is a great way to have a good time and make friends. Contrary to what many people think (almost) everyone can sing!! There are only about 4% of the population who have difficulty distinguishing pitch (amusia) - that means 96 out of every 100 people can learn to sing with a bit of support and encouragement!
So if you and a group of friends or your club/group would like to try a one-off singing session in 2017 just get in touch to see what can be arranged.

Singing is good for you!
